1. Information We Collect

When you create an account and use Life Weeks, you may provide us with:

• Account Information: Email address, display name, date of birth (to calculate your age and life progress), and password (stored securely via hashing).
• Profile Data: Your name as you choose to display it within the app.
• Journal Entries: Text entries you write in the Life Journal, including daily entries, memories, and goals.
• Mood Data: Mood ratings (1–5 scale), energy levels, mood influencers, and mood notes you log.
• Goals: Goal titles, descriptions, and target dates you set.
• Health Data: Any health-related information you voluntarily input into the Health tracking feature.
• Weekly Reflections: Responses to weekly reflection prompts including best moments, lessons learned, and gratitude notes.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the app, we may automatically collect:

• Usage Data: Features used, screens viewed, actions taken within the app, session duration, and frequency of use.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, app version, device identifiers, and screen resolution.
• Log Data: Error logs, crash reports, and performance data to help us improve the app.
• Login Activity: Login timestamps used to calculate your login streak.

1.3 Information from Third-Party Sign-In

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google in accordance with your Google account privacy settings. We do not receive your Google password.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Life Weeks app and its features
• Calculate your life progress, age, days alive, and week number based on your date of birth
• Personalize your experience, including greetings and progress indicators
• Track your streaks (Login, Mood, Journal, Health) and award achievement badges
• Generate custom wallpapers based on your life data
• Send push notifications for daily reminders (only if you grant permission)
• Respond to your support requests and communications
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities
• Analyze app usage to identify and fix bugs and improve performance
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

3. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

3.1 Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the app, including cloud hosting (Firebase/Google Cloud), analytics, and crash reporting. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.

3.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

3.3 Business Transfers

If WaveSeed Co. is acquired by or merged with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

3.4 Protection of Rights

We may disclose your information when we believe disclosure is appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of WaveSeed Co., our users, or others.

3.5 With Your Consent

We may share your information for any other purpose with your prior consent, such as when you use the "Share" feature to share your life grid or stats.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on servers provided by Google Firebase (Google Cloud Platform), which is located in data centers with robust physical and digital security measures.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include:

• Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL
• Encryption of data at rest
• Secure password hashing (we never store plaintext passwords)
• Regular security reviews and access controls

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

5.1 Access & Portability

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request a copy of your data in a portable format.

5.2 Correction

You can update your account information (name, email, date of birth) at any time through the app's Settings screen.

5.3 Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data. To request account deletion, contact us at support@waveseed.app or use the Delete Account option in Settings. We will process your request within 30 days.

5.4 Notifications

You can disable push notifications at any time through your device's notification settings or within the app's Reminders section.

5.5 Google Sign-In

If you sign in via Google, you can revoke our access at any time through your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

5.6 GDPR Rights (EU Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to object to processing, the right to restrict processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6. Children's Privacy

Life Weeks is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@waveseed.app and we will delete such information promptly.

Users between 13 and 18 years of age may use the app only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

7. Third-Party Services

Life Weeks integrates with the following third-party services. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies:

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it for a longer period.

Aggregated, anonymized data (such as usage statistics) that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make significant changes, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
• Notify you via email (if you have provided one) or via an in-app notification
• For material changes, request your re-consent where required by law

Your continued use of Life Weeks after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
